Fulfilling Multiple Requirements

Using a single course to fulfill more than one requirement
Chaminade University allows students to use a single course to fulfill more than one requirement, provided that the course meets the learning objectives of each requirement.

For example, sometimes a course that fulfils a major requirement may also fulfil a general education requirement. In such cases, the student may count the course towards both requirements, as long as the course meets the specific learning objectives and outcomes of each category and cannot be used to fulfill a requirement more than once. If, for example, a course satisfies both a major requirement and a general education requirement, the student cannot use it to fulfill another requirement in the future.

Students should consult with their academic and faculty advisors to ensure that their course selections meet all degree requirements and academic goals.
