Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Early Childhood Education with Montessori Credential and PK-K Licensure Requirements (Online & Military Base Undergraduate Program)
This program prepares candidates interested in working with young children in public and private schools and other education environments. This major meets MACTE accreditation standards and state registry requirements for ECE. Students successfully completing this program meet the requirements to be recommended for the American Montessori Society (AMS) credential at the Early Childhood Level as well as Hawaii State licensure at the PK-K level. Prior to taking any early childhood courses, it is required that the student take the one credit, ED 101 Introduction to Chaminade Early Childhood Education Course. In addition to the courses below, candidates must complete additional licensure requirements (please see Additional Licensure Requirements).
